Day Eight: Amanohashidate, Nara

We started the day at the Amanohashidate Youth Hostel with an amazing japanese style breakfast, walked around Amanohashidate a bit, then headed back to Kyoto. At midnight we drove to Nara to see the Water-Drawing Ceremony at Todai-ji. This ceremony heralds the arrival of spring in Japan, somewhat like Groundhog Day in the U.S.
