Arroyo Salado

After camping in Little Blair Valley for several nights, we moved over to the badlands on the eastern side of the park.

The Salton Sea visible from our campsite. So inviting after being without water for so long!

IMGP6244.jpg

Unfortunately after we drove to the Salton Sea we were in for a surprise.

IMGP6245.jpg

The Salton Sea is basically stagnant agricultural runoff that kills all the fish. So there were countless dead, smelly fish all around the shore.

IMGP6247.jpg

We didn't end up swimming. Looks nice though, doesn't it?
