Flying a Kite with Hwa

We had a great time at the National Kite Festival! We brought our dragon kite and it totally flew higher than any of the other kites around, except maybe for the ones that were flying higher than it. And it totally won the free-fall contest a few times with its stylish plummets at unpredictable intervals. But we definitely had the most fun!

meanwhile, our dragon kite has reached full synchronous earth orbit. not to brag or anything...

img_5952.jpg

Then, suddenly, without warning, our kite re-entered the Earth's atmosphere and did a dive-bomb near this father and son playing soccer. They hoisted our kite back up into the air, and now we're trying to get it away from the road and trees...

img_5953.jpg

...it's much harder to do than you would think. Really.
