Horseback Riding!

Giselle surprised Bill with a day of horseback riding. Bill didn't even get thrown off the horse once. Nor did he get kicked, or even spat at. (Do horses spit? or is that llamas?) We had a great day!

When we arrived, this horse was rooting around in a barrel filled with horseshoes. It took all of Bill's horse-whisperin' skills to convince the horse not to nosh on any iron.

Danny liked to follow Jesse rather closely. He was afraid of getting left behind. Most of the horses wore doilies on their heads and coverings on their ears--presumably to keep the bugs at bay.

Danny, the 1000 pound chicken, even looks worried when I pull out a camera.

Bill tries to hop on gracefully. Will he make it?

Success!

Back at the stables. Happy trails, Danny and Jesse!
