Kunzang Palyul Choling Buddhist Center
This temple is located about twenty miles west of DC, adjacent to the McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area (WMA). The temple grounds cover about 70 acres, including several gardens. The adjacent WMA covers over 2,000 acres with several hiking trails within. Giselle, Bill and Anna headed out one Sunday morning with the intention of strolling through the temple gardens, having lunch at the temple, and then doing an 8-mile hike through the WMA. However, it being the first day of Daylight Savings Time we forgot we'd have one less hour of daylight! So instead, we just had lunch and a sunlit stroll through the temple gardens.
